Two oversized blooms lean into the frame like colorful umbrellas caught mid-sway, their petals spilling with lavender, pink, turquoise, blue, and flashes of sunny yellow. Loose black lines trace and retrace their shapes, giving the flowers an almost sketched-in-motion quality, while clusters of overlapping circles build playful, dimensional centers.
Behind them, layers of deep green, teal, violet, gold, and rose drift vertically like rain running down a window. The softer, moody background lets the flowers glow against it. Bright, imperfect, and completely unconcerned with staying inside the lines.
Umbrellas is about finding color in the gray. About letting yourself open wide when the weather changes. About remembering that sometimes the rain is exactly what makes everything bloom.
Comes framed, ready to hang.
Created in my Anchorage home studio.
